I do other work besides weddings, to keep myself inspired and my creativity challenged.
Much of my work is PEOPLE ON LOCATION. I do family and individual portraits, head shots for artists and business people, shots of people in action for ads and brochures. My work has appeared in The Seattle Times, Seattle Weekly, a brochure for Aldus Software (now Adobe), and Mother Jones Magazine.
I also photograph corporate EVENTS, parties, and bat and bar mitzvah's.
In the FINE ART realm, my work has hung in galleries throughout the Northwest. Some is B&W, some is color, some is hand-colored B&W. Subjects I explore include tribal dancers; intimate glimpses of travel by bus, plane, and car; and the elusive nature of Paradise, whether it's a mountain valley, a farm community, or an island in Mexico.
Last but not least, I shoot pictures for BOOKS. So far 4 books of my work have been published, including Savoring Seattle, for which I shot quirky portraits of chefs in their restaurants; Meditations for Cats, and Meditations for Dogs, which feature expressive B&W photographs of animals...
And MY LATEST BOOK, which just came out in September. It's called Entertaining in the Northwest Style, by chef Greg Atkinson. For this one I shot pictures of Greg's gorgeous food in places ranging from Canlis restaurant and a downtown condo, to a barn on Bainbridge Island and a log cabin in North Bend.
